The front （正面）

Staffs of Bijutsu no mado (Window of Art, a magazine) took photos. But, I advised them not to take photos from this angle. Yes, this angle may be the front, but people who see this work for the first time will not understand what this work is. Sculptures need various angles for appreciation. Sculptures don't have their front in fact.

雑誌『美術の窓』の窓のスタッフが写真を撮っていった（８月号７月２０日前後発刊）。しかし、私はこの角度から写真を撮らない様にアドバイスした。たしかに、この角度が正面かもしれない。しかし、この作品を初めて見る人は、この作品が何であるか理解しないだろう。彫刻は、様々な角度から見られなければならない。実際、彫刻には正面というものがないのである。
