マリア像の石膏原型 A prototype of Madonna statue in gypsum

マリア像の石膏原型が今日完成した。これだけ薄く細かいひだを大理石で彫るのは、耳を彫った時よりも難度が高い。

Today I finished a prototype of Madonna statue in gypsum, but it will be more difficult to sculpt such thin and small folds in marble than ears.

目の錯覚

シリコン型の内側。これは実は、凹で、目の錯覚で、凸に見える。

The inside of impression of silicon rubber. In fact, this is a concavity, but it looks like a convex, because of an optical illusion.

後光？ A halo?

後光に見える（？）金色の物は、かたどりをするための切り金というもの。

It looks like a halo, but they are metallic plates, which are used for taking an impression of a prototype.

それにシリコンをかけるとこうなる。

Putting silicon rubber on it, it became like this.

マリア像の粘土原型 A prototype of Madonna statue in clay

やっとマリア像の粘土原型が出来上がった。約３０ｃｍの高さ。明日から石膏取りに入る。

Finally I finished making a prototype of Madonna statue in clay, about 30 cm in height. Tomorrow I will start changing it into a plaster one.

富士山 Mt.Fuji

明けましておめでとうございます。富士山は日本一高い山ですが、その裾野はご覧のようにその高さよりはるかに長いです。頂点を極めるには、自分自身の裾野を広くしていくことが大切ですよね。今年もよろしくお願いします！

マリア像完成！ I finished Madonna statue!

お蔭様でマリア像が完成し、今日無事に納品してきました。これで彫刻は仕事納めです。今週末から北海道です！

I owe you all my finishing Madonna statue and delivered it to the client today safely. This is the last work of this year. I will go to Hokkaido this week.

後一週間！ One more week!

後一週間で完成予定。ラストスパート！
