全体の輪郭が定まったところ。これから細部を詰めていく。

We can see outline of the whole figure now. From now I will make details.

ヘレン・ケラー Helen Keller

展覧会も終わり、新作の制作を開始した。今度は、少女時代のヘレン・ケラー。彼女が「見」「聞」いていた世界を表現してみたい。

After the exhibition, I started making a new sculpture. This time, my model is Helen Keller in her girlhood. I want to try to express what she "saw" and "heard."

第８２回新構造展スタート！ The 82th Shinkouzou Exhibition starts!

今日から第８２回新構造展が始まりました。

From today, the 82th Shinkouzou Exhibition starts.

マザーテレサ像の完成！ I finished the bust statue of Mother Teresa in gypsum.

まるで後光のよう。切り金を差し込んだところ。

Like a halo. Inserting cutting plates into the model.

シリコンをかけたところ。固まるタイミングが難しく、時間との勝負。

Covering with liquid silicon rubber. It is difficult to be done timely.

美しいものが生まれる直前は最も醜い？シリコンゴムの上を、さらに石膏で補強。
Is it the most ugly just before the beauty will be born?
Reinforcing the fixed silicon rubber with gypsum.

石膏像の完成！粘土原型とは、まったく違った印象。
I finished the model in gypsum! It gives us different impression from the clay model.

納得のいく仕上がりとなった。

I'm satisfied with this accomplishment.

これが、アグネス・ゴンジャ・ボワジュ、２０代前後のマザーテレサの姿です。
This is Agnesë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, Mother Teresa in her twenties.

粘土原型はほぼ出来上がり Clay work, almost done.

サリーのひだ Folds of sari

サリーの後ろの襞（ひだ）を決めていく。モデルがいるわけではなく、さまざまサリーの襞をいろいろな写真を参考にしながら、合成していく。

I make folds of sari behind. Without a model, referring to photos of folds of saris, I compose them.

白いサリーの青い線 Blue lines on a white sari

マザーが着ている白いサリーの青い線を陰影だけで表現しなければならない。

I should express blue lines on her white sari only with shadows.
