At last the finish （いよいよ仕上げ）

I decided positions of arms and started polishing this marble at last. After shaving grindstones fit for curves, I polished this marble by my hands with them more than ten hours every day. When I became aware of my nails, half of them rubbed off.
手の位置も決まり、いよいよ最後の仕上げ。もう後は磨いていくだけ。砥石を湾曲に合うように削った後、毎日十数時間、ひたすら大理石を磨いていていく。気付くと、自分の指の爪が半分ぐらい、こすれてなくなっていた。
