Crossing traces of chisels （交差するノミ跡）

This is a classical way to curve a marble(click the photo and see a big image). After making crossing traces of chisels like this, I will curve them by a plane chisel and file the surface. So I need good chisels which are sharpened as cutting a marble.

これはとても古典的な大理石の彫り方（クリックすると画像が大きくなります）。このように交差させてノミ跡を作った後に、平ノミで削り、さらにヤスリをかけていく。だから、私には大理石が切れるような鋭いノミが必要なのである。
